Kids Helping Kids' a SUCCESS!

Coach Stephanie wishes to thank everyone for their participation in our 'Kids helping kids' Holiday Food Drive. Our goal was to gather one can or package of food for each student enrolled. (We have 239 students) Parents, students & staff brought an incredible 427 Cans, Jars and packages of food to our Christmas program! The food will be picked up on December 19th by the Klamath/Lake County Food Bank for distribution to needy families in our area! We are so proud to make such a significant donation to the Food Bank and again thank you all for making it a huge success!

We hope to do this again in the future. Its important for us as a club to give back to our community. What better way in a season of giving thanks for blessings given, than to share our abundance with others!

Many Children will be fed because of your generosity... Congratulations Everybody!

WE REALLY DO FLIP FOR CHRISTMAS!

The Students of KGA had the opportunity to strut their stuff for parents, family friends and even School Teachers at our Christmas Program "We Flip for Christmas".

The coaches designed special routines for their classes set to a variety of fun Christmas music including the popular 'Hot Chocolate' song from Polar Express and our 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 yr olds in the 'Mommy and Me class' walked the beam and rock & 'rolled' to The Chipmunks.

Klamath Gymnastics Gymnasts show cased their talent from the youngest about 18 months old to the Teens in our beginning, intermediate & competitive programs. Approximatley 100 of our students were able to come of all skill levels. The program started with the youngest students and beginning skills and progressed through until ending with the Competitive levels.

"It was neat to see the progression" one grandmother commented. "You dont get to see all the different kids and levels when you bring your child to class. Its neat to see where they begin and what they can become"

Due to the seating capacity of the OIT auditorium the classes were divided into two performances. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Students performed during the 6 pm program and Monday, Wednesday students performed at the 7:30pm program. Some parents and students stayed for both performances and reported that they enjoyed both programs!

Both performances were pretty full said Head Coach Steph. Who was very pleased with the turnout by both students and spectators. "We tried to keep it a very casual & fun program, as many of our recreational students have never performed in front of so many people"

Some of the highlights of the evening were a special routine during the 6pm performance by the Boys classes in combination with Team Fast. The result was a high energy tumbling performance with plenty of High flying!

Our own KGA Team girls turned out not one but two excellent routines! The entire team designed the first routine performed by the level 4 & 5's. The second routine was created by team mom Niki Crawford. The result a dynamic level 6 routine! Great Job Ladies!

Coach Steph plans to have more opportunities for the gymnasts to show off their skills. She also wishes to thank everyone for their help putting the Christmas program together and their support of Klamath Gymnastics!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
